NOTE:

1. All times are Georgia times. When deemed in the best interest of contestants, the Tournament Director may adjust the fishing time. Contestants will be notified prior to starting time of any adjustments.

2. Contest will be on an individual basis. Weigh-in will be at or near the launch site. A contestant’s fishing time is terminated when the contestant has returned to within the marina, a no-wake area of the launch site, or is off plane and is recognized as returned and is finished fishing. Tournament rules will be in effect. The time should be split 50/50 on fishing location and front seat time. Consideration should be given to keeping your partner within casting range of fishing area.

3. If a contestant can not fish for any reason, he/she must notify the Tournament Director prior to 1900 hours Friday before the tournament to facilitate a new pairing. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of contestant’s entry fee. Trailering is prohibited unless authorized by the Tournament Director for safety considerations.

4. The entry fee is $15.00 for one day or $30.00 for two-day tournament, payable prior to the start of the tournament. Checks are made payable to BENNING BASS CLUB.

5. Outcome of the tournament will be 1st, 2nd, & 3rd places, and largest bass. All contestants will receive 75 points for tournament attendance if contestant does not weigh in any fish, and points based on tournament finish position. i.e., 1st=300; 2nd=295; 3rd=290; etc.

6. Remember that the non-boater is obligated to pay the boater a minimum of $30.00 per day to help cover the cost of boat operation and transportation. Consideration should be given to the distance to the contest site and distance traveled on water. Each angler is responsible for furnishing his or her own food, drink, and equipment to include a chest type life jacket (PFD). One of the partners should have a trash bag. Keep fish alive for live-release. Bread ties, safety pins, etc. will be used for marking fish. Do not clip fins or physically mark fish.

7. When fish are presented for weigh-in, The fish will be taken out of the weigh-in bag by hand and placed in a tournament container for measurement and weigh-in. The fish will then be placed back in the weigh-in bag with water for the contestant to return the fish to its natural habitat unless it is apparent that they will not survive. Dead fish will be returned to the competitor who caught them. When a fish fry is scheduled, the Tournament Committee may retain dead fish for the fish fry.

8. “Boaters” are required to have a minimum of $300,000 Watercraft Liability Insurance.

9. ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ARE PROHIBITED IN BOATS WHILE TOURNAMENT FISHING.

10. BE SAFE AND OBSERVE THE 100 FOOT RULE “IF IT’S MAN MADE STAY 100 FEET AWAY UNLESS AT IDLE.”
