  Lake Seminole

The Benning Bass Club's 2nd stop of the 2010 tournament season is Lake Seminole, Georgia, from 27 – 28 February. Take-off on Saturday, February 27th, is 6:50 a.m. with on the weigh-in at 4:00 p.m. Take-off on Sunday, February 28th, is 6:50 a.m. with the weigh-in at 3:00 p.m. Both days of the tournament will launch out of the Trail’s End ramp.

Lake Seminole, nestled in the southwest corner of Georgia on the Florida and Alabama borders, is one of the top bass fishing lakes in the United States. Its rural setting features rugged ravines, cypress ponds, lime sinks and hardwood and pine forests. An impoundment of the Chattahoochee and Flint rivers, Lake Seminole consists of consists of 37,500 acres of water, 376 miles of shoreline, an estimated 10,000 acres of standing timber; scads of lily pads; dozens of natural springs; countless hard-bottom flats perfect for spawning; and two deep river channels. There are also thousands of acres of bright green hydrilla that stand out in the fishery's clear waters.
